Evony 100,000 Prestige Noob

Let's set things straight right off; I do not think prestige is important for judging someone's abilities in game, it has its uses but for the most part it means nothing. This guide is to explain how prestige works and how easily it can be gained.
By the end of this guide hopefully I will have explained well enough for someone to follow the same steps and reach over 100,000 prestige before beginner protection wears off without spending a single dollar.
Let's get the screen shot out of the way, everyone want's to see the goods first so here is one of three; they can all be found in neat-n-tidy little links at the bottom of the article.

There are three basic and very important rules for pulling this off:
- Do NOT upgrade your town hall past level two
- Do NOT go past the rank AND title of Civilian, ever.
- Make sure you can monitor the account and keep your build queues full
The first two rules deal with game mechanics, it is a fact that with each upgrade of the Town Hall and with each Rank/Title increase you receive less prestige for performing the same actions as a lower ranking individual with a crappy Town Hall. I guess this is their way of trying tie it back to a real world sort of understanding; for example if the President builds a school we say great he's doing his job. If Joe Blow collects money, coordinates volunteer help, and erects a school he is a hero; same sort of concept in evony, except there are way more swords in our little world.
The third rule comes down to time management really, obviously the more you build the more prestige you get, and after the first three days or so you will start to pull ahead of the other llamas gaining prestige faster and in larger quantities as d-day approaches.
Enough with the babbling, this is for the most part what I did to achieve my 100k+ before protection wore off.
- Upgraded to Town Hall lvl2 at the last possible moment
- Never accepted the promotion quests
- Built 15 cottages to populate my workforce
- Built 4 of every resource type ( see photo for levels ), and maxed out as much as I could with the population I have
- Built 1 of every other building type ( except warehouse of course )
- Researched non-stop, first focusing on the resource enhancements.
- Bought low / sold high on the market to help when times got tough
Here are my research and wall stats to hopefully show I do come out of noob mode with fists in the air.
- Academy
- Agriculture 6
- Lumbering 6
- Masonry 6
- Mining 6
- Metal Casting 4
- Informatics 6
- Military Science 5
- Military Tradition 5
- Iron Working 4
- Logistics 3
- Compass 5 ( don't hate, it's my next project )
- Horseback Riding 1
- Archery 6
- Medicine 3
- Construction 3
- Engineering 2
- Wall lvl7
- Trade 300
- Abatis 300
- Archery Tower 3300
This would be way more successful if you have a feeder account on the same server, or in other words someone to keep feeding you resources to make up for our smaller plots.
Damn, that was extremely simple. I'm running on empty here ( 112+ hour work week for the last two weeks ), I apologize for any grammatical issues I will clean it up when I clear my head in a week or so.

This is fucking bullshit. People with lower prestige would rape you.
Let's try and watch the language frand. This was more to show how useless of a stat prestige is.
Check out my update, I posted my research / wall stats to hopefully give a better picture of my situation leaving noob mode.
This isn't my first account obviously, and it was purely to see how fast prestige could be gained.
Hi chelfers ,
Nice article - thanks alot for the read.
Now a few more things make sense in the gain of prestige and how the system work.
/m
Ouch, sorry. copy/pasted your name as mine.
/m
Awesome work, Five! Just wish I read this sooner.
Thanks for the comments; when I have some more time I'm going to start on my 100% scout army experiment. We will see how that turns out
@Are
I think part of his point is to illustrate how silly prestige is as a measurement of success in the game. It's far too easy to game.
Exactly! Thank you!
If anything you could use this guide to quickly gain the prestige needed to join that alliance you've had your eye on, keeping yourself from getting kicked out after you start playing normally is a different story.
How can you have researched Engineering to Level 2 with a Level 6 Academy, as you require L8 Academy to to this??
I uploaded the photos soon as I hit 100k, I updated my post later while still in noob mode with my research since people were focusing 100% on how much they thought I would get owned out of protection.
Finally went out of protection at 120k; 200k now and still trucking along.
Made 100K+ in 6 days using this method. Expect to hit 115K by the time I'm out of protection.
Came out of beginner's protection with 137K pres and climbing.
Nice job guys! Sadly I'm out of the game now due to some recent news of the game's affiliations. Good luck, and keep climbing!
What were your army numbers at the end of the protection?
I believe around around 500 archers, 1000 scouts, and a handful of randoms. I was not focusing on an army at all so I didn't make mention of them in the posting.
If I had started on an army during protection it would have exited at a higher number, but instead I was selling most of my food on the market.
how did you get all the resources to build that much that fast?
I sold my resources on the market during build time, then bought back at a lower price. The market is so unstable in the game it's incredibly easy to make a few million of any resource in a short amount of time with a minimal investment.
For example on any given day on server 24 it was almost guaranteed that iron would get close to or hit .2 in the morning or mid afternoon, then shortly after would start to drop off for an hour or so and quickly crash afterward. I doubled my investment many times in a matter of minutes.
is there a more detailed guide for this as its pretty vague and all we have to go on are those pictures.
Why did you quit the game? I used your guide and had 100K after 7 days. Granted my army wasn't huge but I have been farming near me and doing quite well for myself.
@AllConfused Good job! I made a posting http://blindsignals.com/index.php/2009/07/evony-com-or-why-im-quitting/ here describing why I quit.
@A I don't think there is need for a more detailed guide, the simple rules are don't go past civilian, don't upgrade your town hall past level 2 until you absolutely must, and your best option for resources is probably 4 of each.
There is really nothing more to it; for city layout you need a least one of every building type except for a warehouse, and the rest I would make cottages / barracks since you will have a shortage on population being stuck with level 2 cottages.
so if i get all the stuff to the levels you had it at then i will have 100k prestige?
Yep, pretty much!
thanks man seriosuly just one question though what should i foucus most my resoruces on building?
It really depends on what point of the game you're at. My first priority was getting cottages maxed and resource fields within the first couple days. During that building period I was also raising research to increase production for those fields.
After that I was focusing a lot on archer towers which really can boost your prestige, and barracks / misc other buildings required for research.
well look this is wat i did i first built 1 of each resources field nd then built 15 cottages nd in 1 day in 8 hrs i got 15 level 3 cottages nd all my resources fields at level 5 nd more nd also i got lelve 5 of lumber and agricultre also i got level 3 inforamitcs nd much more with a levle 5 academy nd levle 3 walls is tht good for my first day?
I think you're pretty well on your game, I would focus now on getting your resource fields maxed out as much as you can with your population, things will quickly start getting out of control cost wise.
Once my resources were at the max I started focusing on other research / walls / misc, I'd say you're probably about to that point in another day or so.
ya man do you think that i should put my tax rate at around 20% or leave it at 10%? also max my resoruces fields out to level 8 all or higher?
Max out your fields until you do not have the population to do so. I had my tax set at 10% when I was offline, otherwise I would lose too much population and resource production dropped with it.
When I was online I kept it around 95% and used comforting to keep the population up.
thankz man so just keep my reources fields up and also when iam offline leave my tax rate at 10% awsome man so do you think the rate iam going at ill really get to 100k prestige?
I think you're off to a good start, just keep the building and research queues as full as possible and start pumping out archer towers soon as you can. If you do that then you will break 100k easily.
kool man i just got everything to level 5 now and i got 1 of each reosurces field at level 6 also what troops should i start building right now?....and what reaources should i sell
I wouldn't start building troops until the priority buildings are finished such as the resource fields, academy, walls, tower, etc.
When those are high enough then you should probably start training - and it's really what ever you feel like, you'll need warriors as fodder, archers for putting the range smack down, and ballistas of course for all around ownage.
Feel like I'm writing a second guide in the comments here
Try to experiment a little, and check out the evony forums, they have tons of information on them in regards to armies and general game mechanics.
thankz alot man your the best for putting up this guide most peeps dnt like sharing there ideas luckly u have a great heart and u share with us your succes god bless
Thanks for the kind words, good luck in game, hope you do great!
ya man me too lol
yo man got a question for you when do you think i should get my town hall leveled up?
what next after this. i wanna know
That is really up to you to decide, there are tons of guides on the forums as to different playing styles and what the next steps should be after noob mode.
I have to say that it worked.
It also helps that I have another account that pulls 60k to 70k an hour on resources and 3k an hour on gold (when I don't sell the resources). That and mass production of Traps, Abatis & Archer's Towers (which, I believe, the Archer's Tower is what got me to over 100k prestige since I was on 60k about 6 hours ago).
I'm sitting over on Server 29, it's 5:40 AM CST and I'm at over 103k prestige and still in BP.
Thanks for the guide, amigo.
That can help a ton especially if you can't be on much and can queue up thousands of ATs at one time.
I imagine with a second account and a couple cities feeding a noob, it should be easy to get past 200k, or even 250k before protections ends.
probably, especially if you keep an eye on it during the entire BP period.
Oh, building those AT is what got me over 100k. I had started 2970 of them around the time I started the new account on Evony. The day that I had hit the 100k plus mark, I was at 61k 6 hours earlier and the AT was about 3 hours from completion.
Right now, for my defense, the Walls is at LV8 with 1k Traps & Abatis and 3300 AT. Once I get enough resources, I'm gonna start on 700 more AT to bring it up to 4k AT.
I think, for those prestige-driven players, this guide should be a must-read. I already passed it along to my fellow alliance members for them to try out themselves.
What if your already in the game to far and still want to gain prestige? I'm a Major and Knight. I still want to raise my prestige higher and it just seems like I never get that higher even when I attack or do quest. It's so slow. Wish I had read this a long time ago!
There really isn't anything you can do to easily gain prestige at your rank, just keep building, researching, and training.
Try to keep in mind prestige is pretty worthless; from this post alone it should be obvious that it is in no way associated with your skill level, and it also doesn't give an accurate quick glance of your kingdom.
10 days into my account I was in the top 30 on my server, but I had an army that could easily be crushed by a level 4 NPC and a defense that was just 'ok'. Any one of those top 30 could have crushed me.
I would just stick to what your doing and focus on your cities not your prestige, or create another account, because the benefits of the multipliers far outweigh what you can do at your current stage of the game.
Awesome guide man thanks so much
bulll...... those walls aren lvl2
correct, they are level 7
Does it matter if your in an alliance?
? Why do you say "Built 1 of every other building type ( except warehouse of course )"
What's up with not building a warehouse?
An alliance is not an requirement, but it does have its benefits. You get a little bit of pres and gold for joining an alliance and gaining members, plus you might gain the added benefit of protection by having a strong alliance flag flying above your city to help ward off would-be attackers.
Warehouses I believe are fairly useless, especially when trying to gain prestige quick. Every plot of land is important and one more cottage is far more valuable than an optional building.
You can outproduce the storage capacity of a level 10 warehouse in under 4 hours; besides that fact if you are really in need of the resource protection during / after you get hit you can buy up the little amount of resources it stores from the market.
